I apologize if this is a frequent question but I didn't see it.

We purchased our second gun and we are starting to make regular trips to the range so its time to start thinking about a dedicated bag. We only have pistols right now so ideally it would have room for:

    at least two pistols
    several spare magazines
    4-6 boxes of ammo
    Some paper targets
    cleaning supplies
2 sets of eyes and ears

Any suggestions or feedback on what you are using would be great.

I don't get fancy with everything... I just use a large enough gym bag. I use a ammo can for my ammo, hard case for my long guns, and sometimes I put my hand guns in the bag, and sometimes I don't.

In the bag I put targets, staple gun, ear plugs, eye protection, some minor tools, shooting rests, sometimes a spotting scope... stuff like that.

Get a bag a little bigger than you think you need if you are just getting started. It's like a sickness the way the gun stuff seems to multiply.

I just picked up one of the tool bags with a zipper that you can find at places like Menards, Home depot, etc. The pockets built in are nice to organize things and there's plenty of room for the larger stuff. I agree with what was said, get one bigger then you think you'll need!
In addition to the above lists, I also carry one of the pistol size cleaning pads (the green felt ones) so i have a nice surface to lay my guns on.

I've been using the LAPG bail out bag for a while now and like it for trips to the range with a pistol and rifle.

However for your given needs I think the Midway range bag would be better suited. I have one and it has lots of room for multiple sets of ear and eyepro, ammo, and extra supplies. This is the bag I take with me to multiple day training courses. For $40 it can't be beat. :yesway:

sigsauer.com $46 to your door. holds three boxed guns, 300 rounds of boxed 9mm ammo, two ear protectors, otis cleaning kit, and still 4 pockets to go for mags, stapler, eye protection, etc.

does any one use the 5.11 tactical "range ready bag" its a little steep on price but it looks like a top notch setup.

    Also CED Deluxe professional?
