I hope I started this in the right spot.
Is your gun club/conservation club seeing an influx of new applicants/members to go along with the panic-buying that's going on? Is it causing concern about more seasoned club members and safety concerns on your range? Shooting time issues?
How is your club handling these occurrences? I would appreciate some ideas for idiot control.

At Atlanta we have established a safety check for all new members. Before they are given access. They have to show that they are at least some what competent with a firearm. We try to send out a monthly news letter reinforcing rules. We also rely on general membership to help police the idiots. Its their club too! We have a few members and board members that are at the range frequently so that helps. But It is still a concern!

We have seen a spike in applicants at Silver Creek CC.

Each group has to attend a safety meeting, before they are given their membership card and combo to the gates.

Not ot mention that there is always someone at the range.

We also remind members to be safe at each monthly meeting.

I participated in a USPSA match last night. Granted, it was a public range, but frankly I was scared. There were a few members in my squad that were downright scary and unpredictable. I believe that a rules overview and quiz should be the minimum before allowing membership to a club.
