Ahhhh I'm just now seeing this! Uber jealous!

Looks like Jason is really starting to pick things up-- he's come a long way.

I like the gun-mounted cam work too, very 1st-person-shooter-ish.

And I agree that Mark should come with a warning: Do not befriend with less than $3k to spend on firearms and gear. :D

Nothing worth sharing (basically repetitive of the two I posted).

    A few notes:

    1) The "start" button is hard to detect and manipulate with gloves on; evidently I didn't hit it when I thought I did in some cases, resulting in the camera not rolling.

    2) I had the microphone sensitivity set to "low," which made the gunshots sound funny and muffled speech to the point of being unintelligible. I have since switched it to "high" and will leave it there for the Magpul class.

    3) The on-gun footage was neat, but the mounting location (clamped to the buffer tube) won't work from a practical standpoint, since it blocks the movement of the charging handle. Maybe a certain machinist I know can fab me up a rail mount in time for the carbine course in July... ;)

    Great post.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a hero hd cam and mounting it to an rc helicopter for some of those "impossible" angles that cant be had w/o cranes, wires, and jib arms. If I ever build one it'd be fun to send to the target side of the range and film the shooter.

As promised here are pictures of the Bennelli with the prototype stock adaptor. So its a little late, had a lot of things on my mind with my wife and kids currently in Thailand.

This is the second version I've built, the first one was just to get a feel for the overall fit to the shotgun and make sure everything I was designing was going to fit properly so it was not very refine. The second version as you can see it very nicely shaped and smooth. I modifed a MIAD grip to fit the adaptor and also machined the adaptor to accept 2 ACS QD sockets. This version turned out really nice. I used a Vltor buffer tube and of course a CTR stock, and from the pictures you can see how much overall length it takes off of the original stock. The custom latch plate the keeps the buffer tube from rotating was laser cut by Jon at NYFBFAB and is on the boards. He did good work, the price was good and the turn around was fast.

I'm thinking of making one more version with a possible 5 degree tilt down of the buffer tube.
