Re-bluing or parkerizing; hard chrome

Does anyone do this locally (West Central Indiana)?

I have an old service rifle that has lots of superficial corrosion, but should clean up nicely.

Or is it easier just to do the 0000 steel wool and gun oil route and leave well enough alone?

Also, any place to get parts hard-chromed?
