Amazing. The Freemans (North Carolina militia) did not live to see the camera. I wish they had.

The James Head photo, can he see? Is that cataracts or is that the camera?

I do have a handwritten account of my 5t great grandfather who faugh at manmouth courthouse. He was a 3rd continental light dragoon. He was bayoneted by the Brittish at baylors massacre by escaped and survived to fight with his sons and his close friend Daniel Boone and sons against the Indians out west in Kentucky and probably southern Indiana. Came all the way from Virginia to eventualy settle in Indiana.
the 3rd continental light dragoons of col baylors regiment were hand picked horseman from Virginia by General Washington. In an old family bible it's written that he was friends with washington.

Great photos! Wish I had a photo of my grandmothers grandfather. He fought in many battles from what my grandmother said.
