    We've got several Rand McNallys' and they've never once run us into a lake, lose their memory or need new batteries!

    LOL, I have a master county directory also, but not real practical driving down the road and my eyes aren't as good with the fine print as they use to be. :)

    I don't want to go the phone map route since our service is very limited. Looks like it'll be a new Nuvi with free map updates.

    Tom tom's lost the race, buy a new Nuvi with life time map updates. They've updated the maps 8 or 9 times this year.

    I've tried Google Maps navigation, the Nuvi beats it hands down in accuracy.
