I'm looking at getting some meprolights for my Glock 23. I wondered if anyone could recommend a gunsmith to buy from and to put these on for me or is it something I can handle myself? I live near the Gander Mountain in Castleton so I was going to see what the price was for the sights and what they would charge. However I'm sure I could get them cheaper online. Any suggestions?

I've read alot of reviews on sights but if someone else recommends something I want to hear it.

I'm amazed by how much I've learned on this site. Thanks all!

    Thanks,

Nick Vigliucci, of myglockdoc.com, has installed many sights for me. He sells all the popular brands at good prices, including meprolight, and installs them for free with purchase of the sights.

He always has a table at the Indy 1500 which will be here Jan 9-11.

I wouldn't try installing them yourself unless you purchase a sight tool that typically costs over $100.

Bradis gun shop will not only sell you the Night sights but will also install them for free. If you happen to be close to the Southwest side I have all the tools to do that and I am a Glock Armourer and would be glad to do them for for you.

I have an M&P compact and the sight I want put on, I just need to find someone to do it. I'm only changing the rear currently, unless I find a front sight I want. I may take it to the show to see if the glock guy works on these too.

Will Bradis do it for a price if I already have my sight?

+1 on myglockdoc. You might call Plainfield Shooting Supplies - he used to be out there a day or two a week working on walk-in's guns. Don't know if he is still coming in.

Thanks guys. I live on the North side so the Glock Doc will work just fine. I emailed him for info. and told him he was highly recommended on this site.

    Thanks all for the help!

Bradis did a great job installing my Ameriglos on my Glock - took about 15 minutes while I waited in the store and they did it for free since I bought them there.

Bradis is definitely a hike if you're on the north side though.

I will guess that sometime between December of 2008 and now, the OP found someone to install his sights... but I could be wrong. :dunno:

Yes but this was a good one because of Shooter's response,

Sorry not set up to do M&P's lol I couldn't figure out if he was serious or if it should have been purple lol.
