Recurve bow backwards at half time?

Was it just me or did someone on the stage with madonna at the beginning of the halftime show have a recurve bow that was strung backwords?

I believe that was supposed to be a cupid with a harp or lyre. But with costumes what they are these days, it's hard to tell.
