I had a stradic overhauled by these guys at Tackle Service Center in Mooresville and was disappointed with the end result plus it took too long (4 weeks) and the price was about half what a new one would cost (when they were $119). YMMV

I saw them but am also trying to avoid a 4 week turn around if I was able to do that I would just send it to shimano. Im looking at possibly a week or less. Also man shimano is only $25 + parts for service.

Met a guy at the Boat show last weekend who does baitcaster repairs only. Located in Lapel.

I talked to them that night and was getting ready to give it to them that night but then found that out.

He sells okuma but services all brands. I've had a couple of shimano reels serviced by him and he repaired a baitcaster rod for me. Seemed reasonable to me!
