    Last December, I put up a WTB ad for a refinishable stock for a 10/22 for my brother-in-law. He just sent me pics of the work so far and I thought you might like to see:

    As I recall, he had a 10/22 kicking around his closet for years. I don't think there's anything special about it or even if it's in decent shape. I just know he likes to airbrush and stuff, and wanted a stock to refinish for it. I told him to send me pics when he gets it assembled. Frankly, I'm kind of inclined to offer to buy the stock back from him now. :D

    very cool, I would like to see how it turns out. I have been tempted to attack my spare wood stock and try painting or staining it. maybe another time.

    I agree, excellent looking stock. I have 5-10/22's, all of them set up differently, but hadn't even thought about personally customizing the stock. Nice job...hope you post a pic when its finished.
