We all straighten them up, I'm sure. Mine always looks like it was in an earthquake.

Mine pulling double duty as the only workbench in my garage doesn't help me any in that regard. I have to clean mine once a week just to keep up with its use. I'll get some pics when I get back to the states and hopefully build a new bench!

A look at my humble little reloading shelf. Not nearly as nice as some the ones I have seen on this thread. I had to mount my press this way to save space just could not justify a large flat work bench. Not for something that is not used as much as I would like. I find right now I am only shooting about 4,000 rounds a year and well just not enough to dedicate that much room. Here is version 2.0 of my shelf reloading station. Version 2.5 is in the works.
hope you enjoy the old time video was going for that 70s porn feel.

What's a good height range to aim for when building a bench to accommodate a future Dillon xl650? I'm about 6'1" and like to stand while reloading. I'm looking to build a new bench in the near future and want to eventually buy one of those presses so I figured I would build a bench to accommodate it now.

I lost my dedicated reloading room so I built a portable tabletop reloading bench I can move around as need be. I mount my Hornady L n L to it and put it on a closet shelf when not in use. Super easy!

Do you have the strong mount installed on your XL650? I'm 5'8" and mine are set up on a 36" tall bench. It's the perfect height for me. I had them on a 40" bench and it was slightly too tall. Too tall is better than too short due to having to stoop every time you pull the lever. I'm willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that a 40" bench would be perfect if you have the strong mount installed.

If your 6"1" and want to keep the bending to a minimal then I'd mount the press so the top of the press is around chest level. Of course only if it's on a stand otherwise the workbench surface would be too high to work off of if mounted direct. I would say your ideal bench top height would be around 40-42"

With a 6" InLine fabrication stand installed, the bottom of my press is 38" off the floor. I'm 5'8" and I have to still bend over to see the top of the ram when fully raised. I think if I had the 9" riser it would have been the perfect press height for me. With my height I prefer all my bench top heights at 30-36" for working off of.

I probably should have mentioned that in the OP: Yes, I'm planning on the strong mount. Based on what I've seen I'd be foolish to not include it if I'm planning on going the Dillon route. I'll have to play around with the 40" height range to see how it will work for me. Thanks!

First Photo show some of my 45 Dillon 1000 Units while the Second shows some of my 18 Camdex Loaders, keeps me busy to say the least

:wow: Pray tell, what army are you keeping supplied with that factory?

In skimming this thread, either you guys straighten up your bench etc just for the pictures, or Im a messy loader because you can barely see my bench top most of the time.

Actually my current/pictured workbench is a virgin.

I am anal about a clean, uncluttered and organized work surface, always have been. Being a professional artist I wanting everything neat, it came with the territory for me.
