I reloaded my first 9 mm last night and want 2nd opinion. I used 4.4gn tote group under 125gn cast lead bullets with a col of 1.125. I will be shooting them from a glock 19. It does have an aftermarket barrel. Is this going to be good or did I go to much?

That's on the high end for Tite Group. I would start lower and work up especially for lead. Tite Group has a narrow margin of error to begin with. 4.4 gr is max for jacketed.

edit: actually not even "high end" but well over after checking other manuals.

Here's a second opinion, YMMV depending on bullet length as it relates to case volume but it's going to be very close to these numbers.

    Code:
    Cartridge : 9 mm Luger (SAAMI)Bullet : .356, 125, LEE 356-125-2R
    Useable Case Capaci: 8.313 grain H2O = 0.540 cm³
    Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 1.125 inch = 28.58 mm
    Barrel Length : 4.0 inch = 101.6 mm
    Powder : Hodgdon TiteGroup

Where did you pull this data from? I REALLY like the format.

I load 3.9 gr Titegroup at 1.125 for 124 gr plated bullets. Your load seems a bit high.

I also shoot these out of a Glock 19.

Since you seem in doubtdoubt, I would go back to a minimum load starting point and prove things out, moving up in powder a bit at a time until either you reached the recipe you used or see signs of too much pressure.

Load and hope - good way for big bada boom, in my opinion.

Thank you for all of the helpful replies. I see where I went wrong,I need to slow down a little and double check. I just had a bad feeling and wanted to double check with more experienced people first, glad I did. Again thank you.
