    Remember the Alamo :patriot:

Let the old men tell the story
Let the legend grow and grow
Of the thirteen days of glory
    At the siege of Alamo.

    Lift the tattered banners proudly
While the eyes of Texas shine.
Let the fort that was a mission
    Be an everlasting shrine.

Once they fought to give us freedom,
That is all we need to know
Of the thirteen days of glory
    At the siege of Alamo.

People these days don't remember The Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. Don't expect them to remember something that happened so long ago.

    Sad.

There are many bright moments of Heroism and Glory in this Nation and States past. Unfortunately, the majority in this Nation and State can't remember what they done last month...

Does anyone really think there was ever a time when the majority of average folks remembered important history from long ago? Most don't, never have, and never will. Sad, indeed.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Alamo last summer after a hog hunt near Hondo. I love that place.

    I like that poem, too!
