I saw where MSNBC is having a story on Remington 7oo's where they say the company is after profit instead of safety. They say 700's go off without touching trigger ,like its a big problem . I have never heard of this all these years . has anyone here had this problem or heard this? I think its bullcrap, Watch MSNBC tomorrow at 9 central.

    Haven't read the story...

No personal experience with the Rem700.

But there's a good reason that the Rem700 is "the benchmark" in bolt-action center fire rifles.

Hope it ain't true from a "manufacturer" stand point.

Send all your 700's to me for disposal.

Something around a dozen deaths have been caused by the malfunctions....supposable

Meh, all would of been prevented had people followed a few firearms safety rules.

I wonder how many 700's have been made? My guess would be more than a million.

The Remington 700 has been around since 1962, and the I read and article a couple years ago that says that there have been more than 4.5 million produced.
