I have a Remington model 11 in 20 gauge. This gun does not always extract when cycled and sometimes the action will not close when locked open by pushing the button on the side. I bought parts from the INDY gun show years ago and replaced everything I thought could be the issue. Any guidance or anyone who still works on these, please let me know. The few Smith's Ive talked to don't work on these old auto loaders anymore. Thanks for you help.

    +1 on the friction rings.

Have you also completely taken it apart and cleaned it, made sure the chamber was clean and the barrel could recoil easily?

There are tons of model 11s that have never been cleaned (same with Auto 5s) cause a lot of owners don't know how to take them apart. So there's 60 year old grease, wd40, hunting gunk, etc. in the action

Complete cleanup is first thing on old guns and that Remington is a nice gun!

Have you tried different ammo? Heavier loads? They can be fussy about lighter loads.

    I have a 12ga. They are a fun gun.
