Where does the UMC come in to play here? UMC stands for Union Metallic Cartridge. It's the ammunition side of Remington. If you want 50 posts for the classifieds, be a little more creative than the first post on the page!

Umc is stamped on the grips of the original model 51 pistol, (yes it's the ammo side of Remington) I'm not referring to the new r51....
I am new yes, but I am not just posting to get to the classifieds.....I don't have enough free time for that. But thank you for the creativity tip, I will keep that in mind.

Is it the .32 or .380 model? Either way if it goes bang and functions ok grab it if the price isn't out of sight. I have the UMC .32, it's a lot of fun to shoot but only really works 100% with warm hardball ammo.

Hornady makes a 71 grain FMJ bullet it really likes sitting on top of 3.5 grains of AA#5 @0.975 COL, chases the same hole on paper all day long. ~It's a max load at that length

I loved the one I had, never should have sold it. Be veeeeery careful taking off the grips..in fact, avoid taking them off period! They slide on and off with a unique slot mechanism and they are very easy to break if you don't do it correctly! Don't ask me how I know.....lol

wow, those prices are higher than i would have expected. But i don't know alot about these specific pistols. thanks for the info
Mind you, that's from a dealer. The $850 had a name stamped in it and came with a holster. Pristine with provenance. The $450 was OK, with a decent amount of bluing and no chips.
