I didn't know they did antique plates for motorcycles. I bet at least two of the bikes we plate would qualify...need to check that out.
It is a beige plate with the seal is Indiana on it.Looks just like the newer antique auto plate ,but for motorcycles.Like a auto, must be 25 years or older.Mine is 29 this year.T he state will let you register a model year plate to that plate, but you have to have the vintage plate with you.

I'll have to check it out. Two of the ones we plate are from 1978. I think all of our trucks would also qualify...the newest is a 1989.

I was trying to renew a couple of registrations online tonight (due by 11/21/2017), but the BMV web site rejected me, stating that the plates can't be renewed online, with the code mybmv-2089. There was also no telephone code, so I can't do it by telephone like I just did one other.

Any ideas why the online renewal won't work?

I had a couple last year that I had to go in and do in person, but I honestly can't remember what their reason was.

Did you do that at a kiosk or with a live person? It would be weird if I had to go to a BMV branch with a kiosk, but can't do it online.

We only have live people...at least I think they are live...at our branch. Of course, they are only there Mon, Wed, Friday....but they appear to be breathing.

Be careful when renewing online. I completed my renewal and then checked the next day and it looked like it didn't go through. So I did it again. Long story short my plates now expire in 2019 and the BMV refused to refund the extra year I paid.

Mine said they couldn't be renewed online either, something to do with a municipality. Well I'm stubborn so I went online and tried. It said they could not be renewed online at first, but then I saw an option so select municipality, which is none for me. The warning went away after selecting none and it let me finish up online.

I'll rely on the receipt for the transaction!

    Hmmm . . . interesting. I'll give that a try. Thank you!
