I have a Lifetime LTCH, and need to change the address on it because I moved. I know I'm suppose to send in and do this, but what are the ins and outs of this process?
Also, if I live at a different address than what is on my LTCH, what kind of trouble could I get in?

My main concern is getting arrested or having my pistol confiscated due to an invalid LTCH. Remember, this is a Lifetime LTCH.

    Thanks in advance.

The only thing that you HAVE to do is notify the Indiana State Police Firearms Division of your new address.

It's totally up to you if you'd like a new license that reflects the new address.

    Go here: ISP: Firearms Licensing

Then click on "duplicate handgun license request"

Fill out the form, and either mail or fax it in.

OK!!! So the $20.00 is if I want a new one only, they just need my new address for their records, for call outs and traffic stops?

    Correct!

When I moved, I just faxed in the new information and that was that.

Others will telephone them a week or so later to be sure the info was rec'd and updated.

I just had to renew mine because my four year expired so I got the lifetime one. My question is about how long does it take to receive the new permit. I live in Lawrence by Fort Ben and I submitted it around 3 weeks ago. Thanks

My understanding (without research) is you need to change it within 60 days. It took me about a week to receive it in the mail.
