They're hard to find, believe it or not. So most people buy them online and over pay just to have one. I bought mine from Blythes for $2700 which is only about $200 over MSRP. Some people are paying far more.

thanks for getting back to me. i think i will have to wait till the price mellows out.

the sig 556 was real high when they came out and have came down to a reasonable amount now. i can only hope the scar will as well. so when does the next best gun come out so i can finally own one of these babies.
