    Another positive for Yak trax's. I use them at work durning a 10 hour shift in a ice and snow packed lot I work at reparing over the road tractors and trailers. They hold up very well with daily use. The tips have not worn down any, and even in the exteme cold have not failed in any way.

    If you use them strictly on snow and ice, the due norths are fine, if you go on a combination of terrains, such as wood, yaktraks, definitely.

    I did 2.5 miles in loose snow, packed snow, and exposed ice today. No problems on any of the surfaces, even when I got to the rutted areas.

    I've been using a pair at work for two winters now. The rubber has definitely lost quite a bit of elasticity and seems to be getting softer as well. I figure they'll last one more winter.
