I'm working on the African Tradition version of this and as soon as technology is developed to let you download a buffalo hiding in tall grass, I'll post a link.

I suppose I will revive this again because the challenge was a lot of fun.. I printed off a bunch of these targets and tried this out. It seems like a long time since I have taken the rimfires out of the safe for anything other then plinking pop cans or hard boiled eggs. Since this was supposed to be a challenge I decided to just grab both of my .22s out of the safe and try this cold.

Equipment: Old Sleeping bag to lay on, Ruger 10/22 with Tech Sights, Ruger 77/22 with 4x scope. Both have regular slings not the GI web slings.

I shot the bolt action course in 56 seconds with a score of 88. The 10/22 I shot in 36 seconds with a score of 90. The group with the scoped bolt gun was better but not quite in the right place. The gun is sighted in a 50 yards and was shooting a bit low.

This was a lot of fun and I recommend everyone try it out!

Appleseed is the best way to teach kids gun safety, how to shoot, and give them the revolutionary war history lesson they will not receive in school.
