Too bad you can't make the match. I'm more than ready! If this link works it's all the info I have. Scheduled from 5/1 - 7/13.
And yes, we did not need another 46 roadwork hassle, but I reckon it's all needed.

Ugggh, what a PIA. That I70 routing is exactly what I was talking about. Turns that drive into an event. Even with good traffic and pedal down, it's an extra hour for both ways.

I assume there is no decent back road drive around for this?

I believe I've been that way a few times on one of the other 46 closures in years past. IIRC, it's not much of a time saver, if at all. A lot of that roadway is a windy one and a half lane gravel road.

Air Guard 122nd Fighter Group to do a flyover for the match, but because Burl and Coach are shooting, they told me they would fly a bit north of the range. Should happen about 11:35am on Saturday. I ordered 4 A-10 Warthogs!!!!

Heading east on 70 from the range last weekend, it looks like I70 is going to be a PIA all summer also

Air Guard 122nd Fighter Group to do a flyover for the match, but because Burl and Coach are shooting, they told me they would fly a bit north of the range. Should happen about 11:35am on Saturday. I ordered 4 A-10 Warthogs!!!!

A couple of years ago when the 7 Japanese Zeros flew over in formation it was very hard to not launch some rounds out of principle.

I think that 46 closure is just a bridge. There is a blacktop county rd around it. North on 59, then west to Art, then south back to 46

with the nice weather forecast for tomorrow we are expecting the rifle range to be in use. That being said we are asking anyone shooting the steel match to park south of the building or on the west side of the driveway.

I was the only one at the range a few years back during one of those air shows. Blue Angels flew over in formation. They looked so close I almost ducked.

Man, that was fun! Great to shoot a match again and, as always, RCC does it right. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

And hwy 46 is closed at the bridge about 2 miles in from 59, but Steve's suggested detour up and over to Art and back down to 46 works fine. For now. Until they tear something else up.
