    "protective layer of mayonnaise"

    No worries. :yesway:

Actually he is onto something here. Mayo is acidic, which is not a great environment for bacteria, and the eggs in it are pasteurized (at least for the commercial varieties). It's the other protein items in his sandwich that are little gut bomb farms.

No, the actual problem may be that perhaps Rhino eats old food so often he does not actually recognize the symptoms of food poisoning any more. Say Mr. Rhino, are projectile vomiting and massive diarrhea usually a part of your daily routine? Did they become "the new normal" some years back? Is running to the loo on an emergency basis the reason for your distractions?

most proteins and a few other foods are known as TCS foods or food that needs Time and Temperature Control for Safety. These foods must be stored at or below 41F. If any of these foods are left in the temperature danger zone (which is above 41F and below 135F) for longer than 6 hours then they must be discarded! DO NOT CONSUME! :):

Okay, just finished the last 1/4 of the second sandwich. So far so good.

Sure, I've risked serious illness and perhaps even death, but I didn't have to lose the $5 it cost to make those delicious san . . .

. . . why is the room spinning?

Serioulsy, though, the Cornuporkia demonstrated just how good that sandwich was. I'd do it again.

    Okay, it passed.

    For now.

Hmmm . . . perhaps I need to dilute the contents of my stomach with another two liters of Big K Diet Citrus Drop.

Sounds like some similar choices I've made recently. Turned out just fine! Remember to scrape any mold off of the bread.
