With the far left, it isn't about Rittenhouse. They couldn't care less about those who were killed. It is about controlling the narrative in any situation and spreading the socialist lies to influence the masses. College age people are easily molded into accepting these lies that on the surface look good. Of course there is the quote that isn't clearly attributed to anyone, "If you aren't a liberal at 20, you have no heart and if you aren't conservative by 40, you have no brain!"
College age people aren't that moldable. They are more interested in rebelling against cultural norms, sticking it to 'the man'. When the cultural norms are dominated conservative thought, you get the flower children of the 60s. Now with leftwing thought becoming dominate, kids that rebel, kids that want to be a part of the 'counter-culture' have to move right.

When 'the man' is a virtue signaling, non-binary, pansexual, screaming about the horrors of climate change, you get plenty of young people attending Trump rallies.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Anyone who has worked in the training and/or education field will tell you that young people are much easier influenced than older ones. ANTIFA and BLM ranks aren't exactly filled with gray hairs.

They are much more susceptible to influence from peers than by us old farts. And they want to rebel against the 'establishment', not conform to it.

Their leftist professors, the media, pop stars, movie stars, professional athletes, cancel culture, etc are the establishment now.

Not exactly true. They can be very much influenced by an older person they admire. Teachers often fit that bill.

I tend to agree. As a society we have basically for multiple generations, sent kids to school telling them from an early age to listen to the teacher and to trust the teacher. As most schools seem to have evolved more & more into indoctrination stations for the leftists, they have been bombarded with those leftists ideas as being how society should be. All the while they are nonstop pushed to go to a college where they are further influenced to believe in leftist ideas as being superior and anyone who disagrees is a _____<- (pick a derogatory term from the left's vocabulary).

We are all influenced in some way by the people we are constantly surrounded by.

The problem with youth is that from the age of 17 to 25, the brain has a great capacity to perform deterministic logic but it lacks the experiences in the form of data to work with. You have this great logic engine operating on skimpy data so weird crap makes sense to them. Couple that with the emotional surge happening at that age and you get the youth of today.

For most, as we age, we gain more knowledge and those simple solutions no longer make sense anymore. Most of us gain some control over our emotions too as we age.

The left understands this well and exploits young, dumb emotional idiots for their own gain and they are damned good at that exploitation. I’ve often said that the difference between a pedophile and a democratic politician is the age of the victims they seek to exploit for personal gain.

This is well stated. Also remember that this varies somewhat between males and females.
In short, the insurance industry has well over 150 years of data that proves this. It is exactly why rates for males reaching the age of 25 drop significantly (~20% in many cases).
