This has been a trying week for myself and several friends. A dear friend of mine in KY went into the hospital for some tests to be put on the liver transplant list after being diagnosed with chron's disease several years ago. Unfortunately the tests revealed that he had been misdiagnosed for years and instead of Chron's, he has bile duct cancer and would not be eligible for a transplant. The news has hit myself, my friends, his family and his children exceptionally hard. He is a good man, as are his brother (U.S. Marine) and father (minister and prison chaplain). He's currently laying in a hospital at Vanderbilt University Medical Center fighting for his life while I'm up here in Indiana receiving blessings far beyond what I deserve. I snapped this pic a little while ago out in front of my house and I've been staring at it trying to make sense of it all.

I'm not much on asking for help but I'm making an exception for a dear friend in this instance. If you have a moment and wouldn't mind, he could use all of the prayers he can get. We've also begun trying to provide some relief for him for anyone who might be interested in donating a buck or two. I'd sure appreciate anything anyone might be willing to offer.

    Prayers for your friend.

Ive found that it is 100x more difficult to see someone who you care for go through a tough time than it is to go through it yourself. I can suck it up, grow a set, and be the tough guy when I'm dealing with ****. But when someone I care about has a tough time, I feel useless.

    Prayers for you too phylo.
