Well, I have been wanting another 22 for a while and settled on a new Ruger MKIV. I sold my MKIII Standard a while back and wanted to get another Ruger. I have to say I am nothing but impressed with the new line. First and foremost it's the button takedown. I personally didn't have too much of a problem with the MKIII but it was a bit cumbersome to take apart and reassemble. The other thing I never liked was the loaded chamber indicator. This new model, oh my what an improvement! Drop the mag, put the safety on, push the takedown button and it's apart. Speaking of the magazine, it shoots right out of the pistol when the mag release is pushed. The only thing I did was change the sights. I ordered the V notch rear and fiber optic front from Ruger. I really like the sight picture, just dot the i. Once I got the sights set I was hitting empty shotgun shells at 60 feet. This pistol is a keeper!
