ruger security-six

i'm looking to buy a used ruger security-six, what wood be a fair price to pay for one that is blued with a hogue mono-grip on it. in other words what are they worth?? 4inch barrel, will be used as a back-up hunting firearm.

Condition of the gun? Box & Papers? Some people collect them.

If it is a used gun with no special features and it is just as a working gun, I would not pay over $350. That is just me, because I know i can get a used GP100, S&W K frame or a Dan Wesson for less than that to do just as good a job. If the finish was largely worn, etc, I would not give over $250. Solid guns, but not the only game in town.

It it were clean, with box & paperwork, I wouldn't go over $375 + tax, tops! A stainless one, I would go $400 or a little more...otherwise, don't spend too much.

A couple weeks ago at the grossly overcrowded Indy 1500 I saw a couple Security Sixes on tables priced at $350. They were not anything close to pristine condition, but appeared to be serviceable.
