I have the chance to pick one of these up tomorrow. Not sure of the condition but it looked good in the photos I saw. Its a friends dad selling it so I figured I would help him out. Is $175 a safe price to pay. It does not have the box or instructions. I will prob just do some plinking, hold onto it for a couple months and sell it.

    Good idea, or Bad idea????

I would say 175 would be a good price if its in good condition, would be a fun shooter. But remember .17hmr is a lil pricy for just plinking

The 17 needs a longer barrel than the Ruger provides in order to achieve its trademark velocity, but for $175 you just can't go wrong. If you don't like it, flip in on Gun Broker.
