    Just FYI.
Russian on-line newspaper lenta.ru reported today that Russia started shipping to US contracted QTY of 7.62 x 39 and 9 mm ammunition (almost one billion rounds total). Russia specifically demanded the US government guarantee that the ammunition will be sold to the privet individuals and will not end up in the hands of the government or sold to other foreign countries. May be situation with ammo will get a bit better.

It's ironic that the Russian government may be doing more for our 2A rights then our own damn government. Even if it's just for the almighty $

Thru the panic you could still find 7.62x54R, 5.45x39, 9x18 for decent prices.

7.62x39 still was pricey however. Nagant Revolver and Tokarev surplus ammo dried up but there wasn't much left anyway

5.45 has dried up again. I grabbed two cans a few weeks ago. It comes every few months with the new shipments from Russia.

The 7.62x39 has arrived in the last few days. Many places are selling ammo from .33-.35 a round. Not quite as good as pre-panic prices but still 1/3 or less than 5.56.

The Russians keep warning that we are on the downhill slide toward a socialist dictatorship with our current regime in charge.

Wonder what brand it is. You know, if they lifted the ban on steel core ammo it could cost a lot less to shoot. Think of the price of steel compared to lead and multiply that over thousands of tons. Substantial price difference.

Is it even worth it to buy a nagant revolver? I figured it would be another cheap Russian firearm the kicks butt.

I also translated the article. Funny turn of events, the Russian manufacturing base compensating for the lunacy of the current American Marxist regime.

It is a neat pistol to have in the collection, but there are better out there to use as shooters. Between the funky ammo (unless you convert to .32 short) and the 85lb DA trigger, it isn't all that practical to shoot frequently.

Even though it's a $100 revolver, the ammo dried up so you really aren't going to be finding it for less than .35 or so a round by what I've found. Price will add up pretty quickly on that. Wish I had the cash to get one when AIM still had them but other things took priority.

It is chilling to know that even Russia is seeing what is happening here in the USA. However I am grateful they are standing with us that are Free.

You gotta a whole lot to learn about Russia if you are think "freedom" is anything Russians (or more correctly, the Russian govt) cherish. Putin, is way worse than Obama, and that's saying something.
