    Hey Folks,
Does anyone have any experience with one of these? I seen one at a local shop and was interested. It may satisfy my need for a 45 and my price range also.

I have two S&W 45acp & both of them are new in the box & I haven't fired them, BUT I have a TSW 9MM same thing, but in 9MM. The S&W will shoot very accurately, they DON'T jam, if you remove the mag from the gun, it won't shoot, it's a safety. If you get a good deal buy it:twocents:

4506 is on my list of must-own handguns and is probably #2 on my future purchase list. 5906 in 9mm is my absolute favorite auto-pistol of all time. Can't go wrong with a third gen S&W auto.

I've got a 4006 from the GEN III family, and it has been a very reliable gun. I'm not quite sure why the secondary market doesn't value them quite as high as I think they ought to be, but I can recommend the all stainless versions as great shooters.

Wha... what??!? Mmmmm, 3rd gen Smiths. Even better in .45...

    I luvs mine.

4506-1, 4553TSW and CS45. Uber reliable. If ergos (weight, grip, frame) work for you, then don't hesitate.

The smith-wessonforum.com has excellent advice about 3rd gen smiths.

Love the 3rd gens also. Have 5906, 4006, 4506. Love them all. Never any issues and have shot the heck out of them. Accuracy out of the box has always been more than good enough to excellent. They fit me the best out of most of the various brands owned over the years. Just bought another 4006 that I found a deal on.
