I am getting married soon and am considering getting my groomsmen each a blade from S&W. I saw a Kukiri, throwing knives, and throwing axes. Does anyone know if those are solid enough for recreational use? I know they’re pretty cheap so that’s why I’m asking.

I don't have an answer for you, but I think @Edged Tools will give you the information you need.

I don’t have experience with those, I have used some of the SOG throwing knives and the American Tomahawk brand tomahawks. They’re cheaper and excellent for throwing. You can buy replacement handles too.

Are you talking about these? If you’re just looking for them to be fun, they’d probably work just fine.

I can order most of these too depending on what you want.

In deference to our site members and partners I will only say that the S&W folders are OK for an every day carry knife. I use and loose a couple a year. The cost is a major factor.
