Its the LE/military discount pricing. Many of the manufacturers sell weapons at lower prices to dealers with the rule that they can only be sold to Law Enforcement or military personnel.

I'm not sure if the military/le requirements apply, even though they it is stated. I purchased a Springfield 1911 MC Operator from Quantico that was marked "law enforcement only" on the box when I received it. I'm neither law enforcement nor military and I was never asked otherwise.

I suppose there's really no legal requirement for the dealers to abide by on that. They could sell to the public at the discount price. Obviously they would face the possibility of losing business from the manufacturer for violating their agreements. I know thats why Jenkins in Indianapolis only sells to Law Enforcement. I picked up a glock from there for only 379.00 bucks brand new.

You could always call the company and ask. Worst they could do is say no.
