I recently purchased a new M&P 45c with 2 magazines. They are the standard 8 round mags. However, I have found with both of them that I can only load 7 rounds into each one. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?

I did take the mag apart and it appears that I could just shorten the spring, however, I don't know how much to take off. My concern is that I will take off too much and make the spring pressure too low to properly feed. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

My M&P .45 C is not that old, and I did have a problem with loading the mag with extension with just using my hand. I have kept it loaded and see if it will stretch. I purchased two (2) more compact mags from a dealer, and they are new and they both hold 8.

If you do take some spring out, take it slow and cut small sections until it works for you. Also, call their customer service. I have good experience with them and they might send a new spring free of charge.
