Did somebody say model 10? Here's my 10-5

    attachment.php

Really???? You posted that pic????? You know how I feel about those grips ese....Dang it man they are prettier than I remember...Remember I get first dibs...I know "technically" I am not Latin but an Argentine wife from L.A. gives me some Latin street cred....

If they ever make cockfighting legal in Indiana again can I at least BORROW them to wear on a Smith to the post fight BBQ??? Please???? Nice square butt snubbie K frame Jase....

So the list of "If I ever get rid of these Indiucky gets first dibs" is now:

    Smith and Wesson Model 63
Smith and Wesson 22/32 Target Beakhart (Did we date that thing yet???)
And K frame square butt grips with the Aztec Chief and Calendar (and IIRC the eagle and the snake motif on the other side...)

Those three....(I know it's not likely but I have to try brother...:))

Usted no quiere dar esa arma a ese gringo, mi amigo. Dar a mí! :)

Purty grips. That brings back a lot of memories of perusing the little border shops in Mexico. There were always some of those grips on display for various handguns. My only concern is the calendar. Didn't it show that the world would end a while back?

Model 10's are a must have for anybody who considers himself/ herself a handgunner. I have a 4" taper barreled round butt. It balances and handles extremely well and is very accurate, considering the tiny sights. I have a soft heart for them as I was issued one just like it in 1968. I thought it was easy to shoot/ hit right from the start.

Nope...This is the Aztec calendar...You are thinking of the Maya Angelou calendar...:)

You're right about the model 10.....It's just so dang "pointable"......You raise her up to eye level and shoot and those little lead pills go where they are heading...You get one that has got some use and the trigger is right up there with a Python (IMHO...Sorry Rick Grimes..)

    It is exciting reading this.
I can't wait to go to the range and try out my "new" Model 10 and my new Walther PPS.
I have 2 meetings today, and have mowing to do, so since the range closes earlier on Sat., I probably won't make it again.
School starting up puts a cramp in my summer lifestyle.

BEMike and I write Smith and Wesson gun porn as a side gig....

I slowly pulled my big, blue steel N Frame S&W from the floral carved holster and opened her up...Some folks don't like the N Frame...They say she's "too big....." But I like a revolver with a little meat on her bones and this Model 28-2 has some meat on her bones....

The 125 Grain .357 magnums were tight at first, so I slowly slid just the tip in...Then the weight of the lead and copper jacketed bullet pulled the rest of the cartridge all the WAY down with a satisfying "plunk" as the cartridge rim met the cylinder...Six times I did this, each more satisfying than the last, until she was filled up all the way and could take no more....Looking over my shoulder to make sure Kirk freeman wasn't around I twirled her once on my finger and then dropped her into her tight leather floral carved holster that accents every curve...I touched ever so lightly her Goncalo Alves stocks and strapped her in tight....I then headed out to the picnic table where my wife could not hear our sounds of passion.....

    "BOOM!!!! tink..."

    "BOOM!!!! tink..."

    "BOOM!!!!! tink..."

    "BOOM!!!!! tink..."

    "BOOM!!!!! tink..."

    "BOOM!!!!! tink...."

The back door opens of our little farm house...Due to the sounds of our passion I do not hear nor see my wife step out on the creek stone step.......

"Hey Honey when you are done shooting supper's ready....."

    "DON'T JUDGE ME!!!!!!"

    "What????"

"Nothing...I was just finishing up...I'll be right in...."

    :)

Finally made it to the range with the 10-8 model Sunday.
    Fantastic: so accurate.
I could do body shots on my targets with 5 silhouettes on them clear down at the end of the range!!
    Sweet!
    Even head shots closer.
Certainly can't do that with my small 9mms.
I had to pay $24 for a box of shells (48 cents each) so I can't live with that, though.
Going tonight to buy 300 rounds from a guy (Remington and Winchester) for $75 (24 cents/ea).

Soon you'll have to look up phrases like "stovepipe", "failure to feed", and "tap, rack, and bang" to remember what they mean...There is something Zen like and satisfying about loading a revolver and sending them down range.....Congrats on your new Smith....She will love you long time and remain faithful....:)

Sold the 10-8 Friday night at 9:30 pm 2 minutes from my house (my wife held the movie we were watching about King Arthur's sword: great action movie if you like that era.
It sold 3 minutes after I posted it: $275. Took me all evening to get pics loaded with interruptions.
He was so glad to get it and I was so glad to sell it since I did what I said that when I found a stainless steel (64-7): I would buy it and sell this one.
I would have loved to kept both b/c it was such a sweet shooter, and there is something special about an old gun (I owned 6 antique cars at one time in my former youngling life ), but my "gun" fund is getting thin (wife thinks so at least :dunno:), something about remodeling the kitchen, and getting the house ready to sell when I retire (2 yrs.-6 yrs, ha!)
I told her I could sell everything (nearly ) when/if needed when the time comes for those cabinets, and start over again.
Since I have my pocket carry and 22 for the range, I really don't "need" anything else, so all the 9s could go when needed, and I'm not keeping all 3 anyway but will sell 1 or 2 soon.
