I recently picked up a nice PPK/S for a good price - a good price cause it was missing the rear sight. Numerich's had OEM sights for less than $20 and one is on the way. Can this be drifted in carefully with a small brass hammer or should I take it to a gunsmith who may use a generic sight pusher?

The video covers installing a front sight, but the principals are the same for most dove tail sights. When fitting the sight go slow and do your adjustments to the sight not the slide.

    Good luck.

You should be able to drift it in.
I would think so. I seem to remember doing a couple similar pistols in the past, CZ82, etc. Problem is I don't have a vice or such. I have done it before using an improvised bench block and brass hammer. I think I will give it a go briefly then back off if not easy.
