If he had to go, he couldn’t have picked a better day to do so. Years ago I was at an air show manning an MG-34 on an anti aircraft tripod, and he came in strafing at tree top level. I have a great B&W photo from that day taken from behind as he strafes me, with brass flying out of my MG-34. He actually dove so low, that when I watched a video of the attack, you can actually see his wing clip the radio antennae on a German half track. I heard that two pilots that day got in trouble with the FAA, but they left him alone.
