My most recent DOT physical was with a lady doc. No big deal with the hernia check.

I Usually end up with a female doctor doing my DOT. All have been.... not my type. Except the last time, she was a PYT. She was more nervous than I was. All have been better than the male doctor whom would sit on his chair right in front of me, look up at me and request I lower my garment. Then stare while he’s poking around.

^^That reminds me. When it was time to drop trou, she had to get a second person in the room for legal purposes. I figured it would be a male. NOPE. The hot medical assistant....

I went from a guy doctor who wouldn't listen to a single thing I told him when I'd go in all sickly--the guy was past due for retirement and wasn't really worth two ****s.

I went to a gal doctor who probably could have made a living as a model, but instead chose to be the best doctor I've ever visited. Easy to talk to, professional and friendly all at the same time. NO REGRETS.

So, basically, I figured out the male/female part is irrelevant when compared to the ability to LISTEN to a patient and figure out what's going on.

I have a female dr and she does a good job. I’d prefer an older male dr who’s old school and doesn’t have to pass someone off to a specialist for a common cold but at my age, any older dr is already retired.

To me that is dumb. Assuming nothing inappropriate happens and any accusation would be a false one, wouldn't the lying patient just accuse you any time you two were alone in the room together? Chaperones just seem dumb IMO but we all do it

My current doctor is a male. Before him I had a female doctor. She wasn't my favorite but it wasn't because she was a woman. If they're a good intelligent doctor, they're fine with me regardless of sex.

I do rectal exams all the time. More if it's a work week. Trust me, the doc doesn't care and isn't checking you out. They prefer to not do them but it's part of life.

some guys don't like guys doing pelvic exams on their ladies. Usually it's a boyfriend, the women usually don't care. We tell boyfriends they can and will leave the room. The bonus is very few reasons you really need to do a pelvic in the ER, though it's customary to consider it when women have abd pain, which they do all...the...time...
    Every. Single. One. LOL!
    I'm an ER nurse.

Once had a female NP call me into the room while she was examining a RAPE victim to be the chaperone, I didn't think that was good for the patient at all.

I doubt the President dresses in drag and moonlights as a doctor.

I actually suggested trump convert to trans. We'll still love him and he'll be bulletproof against the left. They couldn't call him deranged or any of those mental health insults anymore. And he'd be our first female president
