Waited at Pop's to shoot today for almost 2 hours and never even got to shoot (members kept coming in and getting put ahead me). Yes, I don't have a membership and I don't want one because I live 45 minutes from there. That place is always standing room only and it's only marginal at best. However, that's about as good as it gets around here.

I'm a member at FCVCC and I love it, but I still like shooting inside from time to time.

Man, it would be great to have another option north of Indy in Hamilton County. Is that asking too much? Santa, are you on INGO and listening?

I dont go to Pop's anymore. I go to Roby's in Kokomo. It is more miles, but they are all highway miles. $15 to shoot for an hour and never had to wait.

FCVCC is a beautiful club I used to be a member there. The range is very well equipped and maintained...

I agree. I really like Roby's and you can shoot .223. However its still about an hour drive from Noblesville for me. Wyatt's would have been nice I guess. I'm willing to pay a premium for something closer.

I would love a Indoor range on the North Side ! But usually these places don't let you really practice (draw from holster, move, quick shots). It would be great in the winter!.

The indoor range at the former Wyatt's is about 2/3-3/4 done. You could always buy it and finish the range. :):

The bank still wants $1mil for it. And they aren't willing to wheel and deal...yet. It will need to sit empty for another year or so. And its only truly half done.

I recently heard that the bank was already under 1 mil but I can't confirm that.
Also, the info I had on the range was not first hand.

I shot outside from 2:30 until around 4:15 today at HCF&G. Had the whole place to myself until the end. While I was policing my brass, a grandfather brought his grandson to shoot his new .22.

It is too bad some shooters can't get together with some investors and create a great place to shoot and make money at the same time. I used to shoot at an indoor range in TX that was big, clean, safe and had nice folks working there. They are still in business so they must make money at it.

I think the range should be subterranean. Don't have to worry about round escaping, no noise for the neighbors, all lead probably contained. Anyone know of a building downtown that has some tunnels not being used? That would be darned cool.
