Savage Edge .223 Camo re-due.

I bought a Savage edge because I couldn't pass up the price ($256.00 shipped) and I wanted a .223 bolt action. I didn't like the camo option so I thought I would try it on my own. Here is the gun and the Barska 6-24X42 Varminter as I got them.

I have read good things about Mcnett camo form, so I decided to give it a try. 2 rolls later it looked like this.

I wasn't happy with how it came out. It looked like the gun was wrapped in a camo ace bandage!!! Off it came.

looks good i used this stuff on my turkey gun before swiching to a camo model.

speaking of wich is it odd that i have a turkey gun and dont turkey hunt? the gun is for what if.

My next try was camoclad. I am very happy with how this turned out. It went on very easy, and is not permanent. I think the gun and stock look like they were done at the factory. I still need to do some work on the scope....

Not a big sticker. It a vinyl wrap like you see on cars. Its very easy to put on and you can reposition it very easily. The kits are made for shot guns, so they take a little trimming for bolt guns. Some of you have asked or PM'ed me about the seams. Here r 2 picks of the seams. They leave enough overlap so you can line up the design to leave a close to seamless look. I left them big so you can get a closer look.
