It's not that you're armed, you just really can't carry a tuneYeah, not a fan of a church who would tell me I cant carry. So I would vote with my feet.
They need the ability to make their own private property rules, so I dont have a problem with this part. I dont like it personally, but its better than the alternative.
Does this apply to pre-schools and day-cares?

ONLY if they are licensed by the state. Unlicensed daycare ministries/preschools do not make it a GFZ. The licensing bit is the gotcha.
But assuming its a licensed preschool and a GFZ, my understanding is this covers just proper church buildings physically separate from school areas, provided they are separate but on the same real estate. You know, how a rational person would interpret it. (the school is here, the church is there. as long as I stay here and dont go there I am good)
So if there is a (state licensed) day care or school building, that part would still be off limits, but the sanctuary and exclusively church use parts of buildings are GTG. (sanctuaries, church offices, fellowship halls, etc.) So worst case if you are carrying you cant walk down a particular hallway because that is where the school is.
For example, assuming this church/school below is all one property for the sake of discussion (sometimes there are weird exceptions... so work with me here), this church is clearly a separate building from the school and to a rational person should not be a GFZ. Yet if they are all on the same plot of real estate, the entire contents of that real property is a GFZ today, including the physically detatched church. (that is clearly not a school) If this goes into effect, you could carry lawfully in the church buildings, but still could not walk across campus to the school building.

No worries. As far as the state is concerned, if you arent licensed, the term "school" does not apply to you in this case.Sure...sure...I ask because the language in the synopsis only mentions schools and nothing else. I haven't drilled into all the language and those other types of facilities/services may be included there but that's why I asked.
