Scope: need help chossing a scope for AR

Respectfully request the opinion from the members of this forum regarding a choice of scope for AR 223 caliber with a 16 inch flat top upper. My budget is $500.00 and I am planning to use it for target shooting from 25 yards up to 500 yards. Some of the brands that I have checked are Nikon, Bushnell, and Vortex.

Search this forum and you'll have pages of threads to go thru. I'm running a Millett DMS-1 scope in a LaRue mount on my flat top .223. My .458 SOCOM will be getting a Burris PEPR mount and a Bushnell 3200 2-7x32 for my deer getter. There are lots of good optics out there and some to stay way clear of.
