So I'm thinking about getting a Leupold Rifleman scope for my Sig 522. Might be a bit overkill for the gun, but I currently have a chinese red dot on it and I'm trying to get more accurate.

The Sig has a tactical rail on top and no iron sights, so I'm thinking installing a quality scope might be the best way to go. I'm looking for suggestions on the best quality (yet value) rings I can buy to mount the scope to the gun. Also, need assistance on the height I need to get (medium, high, etc) if it matters.

    Appreciate anyone's feedback/opinion.

I have a BSA sweet 22 scope on my 522. I put generic "high" scope rings on it and it works well. The scope is a 3-9x40mm, so the regular height rings were really close, but did not work. Sorry I don't have exact details for you, but I'm not sure of the size of the Leupold Rifleman.

Thanks Naptown, sounds like they will work for me as wel. The Rifleman scope is a 3-9X40mm, so I'm guessing it should be close to the same.

BTW, I've always used the more inexpensive scopes with a lot of luck, but made the mistake of looking thru a Leupold at Bass Pro one evening. Ruined me.
