Scope?

So my grandpa got a little .22 rifle and he wants a scope for it but he needs a larger eye piece to actually see through it right. I can't find a scope like that. I have a Nikon p223 3x32 that is still too small of a lens. He wants a non adjustable optic like a 3 or 4x. Is there anything out there. He also doesn't want to break his wallet for just a .22.

Why does he need a larger ocular lens?

Perhaps just a higher ring might solve the problem?

Actually he went another route. He ended up getting a red dot that found at Walmart. He did t want to put too much money into it. As it will just be used for target or varmint shooting around his lake.
