Anyone bringing a 1911? In the market, and was hoping the wife could try one out. Looking forward to it, this will be our third event. Really enjoy hanging around with the group. We meet more and more at each event. Still learning the ropes...

I can bring my Taurus 1911. I don't usually bring it because it seems everyone has one.
But pistols are easy to carry.

Too bad I'm a rifle guy. And they get heavy in large groups.

Well it looks like we are going to have about 30 people at the event.
So I'll bring 40 burgers and 32 hot dogs.

I know we have someone bring hot dog buns plus brauts.
Could someone bring burger buns please.

Hey all, just a note for why I have not been to any of these events this year.

If you are not aware, my daughter had some pretty major surgery a while back, she had 2 steel rods about 18" long, a couple dozen screws and a bunch of bone grafts put in along her spine. She is recovering nicely but is still under pretty strict observation and mostly confined to home/bed rest, with some very limited exercise (walking, no lifting, no swimming, no lifting her arms, etc). Still taking major pain meds (valium, tramidol, gabopenten, mobic, blah blah blah) and cannot be left unattended.

Consequently I have not been very active at events this year.

But to you newbies who have not attended an event you should know you are missing out on a lot of fun. The NWI INGO group is active because we have a lot of fun. Whether it be a Meet & Eat, a Meet & Shoot or an Open Carry Cigar Night, please do yourself a favor and attend them!!!
