Self sufficiency advice/help

For those of you that are looking for advice, help or ideas there are a few magazines out there. Grit, Hobby Farms and Mother Earth News are 3 I get on a regular basis. They also offer many books for sale that could be of interest. There is another one called The New Pioneer that I am going through now. They are usually available at Borders or Barnes and Noble. Might be able to pick them up at Meijer, WallyWorld or other Grocery stores also.
