I was in a hurry to get ammo this morning (only had 30 rounds of remington umc left), and the new wal-mart at 65 and lafayette didn't have anything (shotgun shells). So the only place I knew of nearby was Don's (I know). Suffice it to say I got screwed on price, but I really liked this ammo. I felt like it was far more accurate than the rem (switched to s and b three mags in to my first shooting outing of the season).

Is the stuff actually better, or was it mostly me getting settled in? Has anyone had any experience with it? It's not any more expensive, so I think I'll keep buying it.

I can't testify to it being more accurate, but I've used it for target practice many times. Worked well.

Meijer on 38th St. has handgun ammo. Don't give Don's your money :do2:

    S&B is good stuff.

If you shoot recent mfg Winchester White Box 45ACP, take a look at where it is manufactured and how much the packaging resembles S&B

Never had a problem with S&B. They are probably the biggest manufacturer of ammunition in Europe. They also produce some good ammo for what are unusual calibers in the US such as 9mm Makorov (9X18) and 7.62 X 25 Tokerov (CZ52 and such). Never had even one problem. My only complaint is their primer pockets are sized slightly tighter than others. You can feel it when hand priming cases.

I just bought another 1K rounds of 9mm S&B from Elmore's in Greenwood. They charge $240 out the door (that would be about 224 before tax).

I have bought a case of the S&B in .45 as well. Of the four brands I have bought in bulk recently, S&B is by far my favorite.
