I vote for a few to several Democrats in local elections almost every time. Now I feel like poo.

Same, several that I know personally that have always been standup people.
Although their national party is making it much much harder to justify.

Sadly, in our local area, the Republicans who are in office act more like Democrats than the Dems do. I vote for the person, not the party at the local level. I have attended local meetings and had dealings with enough of the Republicans currently in office here to know I would do anything to get some of them out of office. Out of all the Republicans on our ballot currently for local offices, there is only ONE that will be getting my vote. There are several Democrat candidates that I will be voting for locally for county council, sheriff and other county offices. I voted Democrat in the primaries this spring for the first time in my life just to help get the right candidates on the fall ballot. None of the Republican seats were contested so my votes helped to eliminate the candidates that I felt should not be elected and helped to get better choices on the fall ballot. I only have one vote, but I still did what I felt was best for our area.

Since the Dems have embraced the far-left, socialist progressive agenda I could never vote for a dem again. If/when they ever disavow all this socialistic BS I might be able to bring myself to vote for a few here & there.

Abolish ICE? Socialized medical? No more innocent until proven guilty? No more 2A? NO THANKS!

If the dems win now with all of their frightening ideas, it will the beginning of the end of this country as we have known it.

I still don't get it. If so many are unhappy with our capitalist Democratic Republic system, there are countless other counties in the world they can go live in. Leave our system alone, it's still the best in the world.

Don't these folks realize that in the socialist countries the 1%'rs become the .01%'rs? The only ones with any wealth are the political elites and their friends. If you **** the elites off you become either poor or dead or both.

At least in our capitalist system, anyone can work towards being a 1%'er - we ALL have the OPPORTUNITY to be successful and wealthy. Who gets the opportunity to be wealthy in the socialist countries?
With socialism, everyone becomes equally poor (except for the elites and their friends).
    Exactly.
They stay here because they want to get rich. They have set up the pyramid scheme to serve themsleves and their voters.
I never ever understood how the Democrats fooled the working class man into voting for them. If you like having a big hand come in and steal your paycheck vote for the Democrats. If you like it when illegals crash into your car and nothing happens and Democrats fight to legally ban local police from helping lock them up, vote Democrat. If you want your sons and daughters to be murdered by illegals who've been deported over and over with no consequences and then they find a welcoming home to murder at will in your hometown or city, then vote Democrat. If you hate the police and you like it when minorities ambush them and shoot them for nothing other then putting on a uniform to enforce the laws of this nation that they dont want to obey, then vote Democrat. If you want the United states to give weapons and money to terrorist groups and foreign countries who are terrorist states, then voteDemocrat. If you want the government to weaponize its agencies against the people and political opponents, vote Democrat. If you want to support people who leak & misshamdle classified information to our enemies, vote Democrat. If u want our federal agencies breaking laws without fear of repercussion, vote Democrat. If you want the race issue to constantly be thrown in your face and used against you even if it may be from something you said or didnt say from 30 years ago, voteDemocrat. If you want to turn the U.S. into a socialist state then vote Democrat. If you want to support spoiled brats who's mommy and daddy didnt hug them enough, vote Democrat. If you want to put our women and men of the military into harms way without the proper equipment or pay, vote Democrat. If you want your guns restricted and eventualy taken away, voteDemocrat. If you want out veterans dying waiting for appointments for care or substandard care, vote Democrat. If you want more crime, vote Democrat. If you want FREAKS using the bathroom with your kids, vote Democrat. .Do I need to convince you anymore? Theres a lot more if you want it.

It can be like that localy. I'll write in mickey mouse myself before I vote Democrat. But that's just me.
A lot of Republicans are also what's called RINO's too. They piggyback off the Republican name to get elected.

Donnelly was a perfect example of a supposed pro-gun dem. We learned what a pro-gun dem is, well most of us...

There are a LOT of naive gun owners and gun businesses out there. Get your gun knowlege at the gun shop? :)

What's the name of the range, so maybe we can help to educate them?

I'll try to find out. I'm hoping it isn't a site supporter. :D

We live in a Democrat county so I think there are a lot who claim to be Democrat just so they can get elected...kind of the opposite of the RINO. When working the polls, it is amazing how many uninformed voters we have here (based on their comments about not knowing the candidates, etc.) automatically vote Democrat here. I think many of our candidates know the only way to win and get anything done here is to run on the Dem ticket regardless of their beliefs. When I voted in the spring primary, I only voted for local offices so none of the Dem candidates at other levels got votes from me.

My fall ballot will be very much a split ticket.

bwframe, The gun club in question has a lawsuit against it by the gentleman running on the Republican ticket for County Council. He purchased adjoining acreage back in 2014 and wanted to buy the gun club out. After he was told no, he filed a lawsuit against the Club in early 2015. The case should be going to a jury trial in December, 2018, unless there are more continuances. Earlier this year, he decided to throw his hat in the ring on the Republican ticket for County Council. So yes, the Club members are throwing their backing to the Democrat Pro-2A incumbent. I hope you understand our reasoning.

I would not be able to justify voting for any democrat based on one issue. Personally I do not understand that kind of reasoning. There is way too much anti-American agendas with the progressives. I try to vote for what is best for my country and its future.

I don't know. Assuming the facts are as portrayed above, voting for some jackass that wants to use the system to leverage you off of your land isn't what I'd consider best for anybody or anything. Too bad the only options are 'none of the above' or the democrat. I'd probably go for the later than vote for any democrat now.

What was the basis for the lawsuit? I have a hard time believing the gun club could be sued simply for refusing to sell. There must be more to this story. What is it?

I would like to know where and what gun club is involved, as our local club has also had some issues with a new neighbor. It might help us to protect our club better!

Thank you for the update on this!

I see the reasoning, bud sadly it's still the wrong move.

A local race is a perfect place for an independent to get a foothold. The dem running should have dissavouled himself from the anti-gun party and run as an independent.

As it stands now, a supposed 2A supporting business is condoning the anti-gun party. That tells a lot of gun owners that it's OK to do the same.

I'm sorry, but it's not OK...

Oh yeah. A friend of a friend, down in Orange County went through several years of hell because an adjoining property owner wanted a piece of his land. He must have been bank-rolled by someone because they kept the legal system busy for quite sometime. If the friend's friend hadn't have had a lawyer in the family, helping out with a family discount, they probably would have been out spent and lost.

So I guess the election of Trump outed the Republicans for whom they really are (and it ain't freedom loving patriots). We also know them, without a doubt. And apparently the same goes for anyone who would consider voting for them.
