    His pen? His phone?

Not sure if we're saying Obama wrote Manteen a letter or called him on his phone. You guys are real wishy-washy about personal responsibility. But then again if Obama's involved, you can divide by zero, and rearrange the laws of physics to point a finger.

It's a shame that they will, most likely, be destroyed. I'm sure they aren't in very good shape and would have been grossly overpriced but, still, it sucks. As for McCain, he's a statist Republican so this is no surprise.

You gave kudos for blaming Obama for the Orlando shooting? In what universe does that make sense? Obama is as much to blame for this as the guns are. So if Obama is to blame, let's impeach him, and then we can ban all guns.

Kut (points out the incredibly BAD logic)

Sorry, but you are having a breakdown in logic here. Our guns are NOT responsible for failing to pay attention to a dangerous person on the grounds that it is politically correct. The Kenyan, on the other hand, is the president--the executive overseeing federal law enforcement--and the chief cheerleader for PC denial of obvious fact and inaction regarding that fact. Had the perp not been a member of a special class of blind eye recipients, there would have been a much better chance of preventing this. Beyond this, Obama deliberately signed on for that job. No one's gun did.

Two things stick out to me.

    1. Someone said they respected him for being a POW.

    2. Do you realize, how AWESOME it would have been to have tens of thousands of 1911s in the market? What a loss.

Is there some evidence that the dirtbag broke a law or was going to actually do something bad that was overlooked or ignored before he went to shoot these people? My understanding is that they DID look into him, not once but twice and found nothing damning. That is not inaction.

It is sad that he was able to do what he did, but throwing blame out at those we don't like is not going to stop this from happening, nor make it any better now.

I have no idea what incident you are talking about. Was Kenya attacked by a deranged shooter too? But if so, the Kenyan govt has had a long tradition of anti-gay policies. Irungi Kang'ata hasn't very supportive of the community.

I respect him for being a soldier, a POW, and not abandoning his fellow soldiers due to his name. I also respect that he sought to further serve the country in govt. I even respect his opinion, while at the same time often disagreeing with it.
