My first post...a bit nervous. Purchased an older Beretta Bobcat 21A-22LR tonight with S# BBS22551U and am trying to nail down the manufacture date. I am thinking it is approx. 1989 per the Beretta USA site, but my aim if far better than my gun expertise. Paid $174.44 which seemed low from a very reputable dealer. Very little visible wear; super clean. Blue steel with pretty wood grips. Anyone know a person or resource who can help me accurately date my little darling? Keep America Free...:dunno:

Sorry, cant help you much with the date without looking more into it. Other manufacturers I could tell you quick, but I will have to look a little more about Beretta and someone else will probably beat me to it. Nice little guns though! Congrats! :rockwoot:

Can't help on the Ser # but that seems like a pretty good price for a 21. I used to carry one in my back pocket as a back up when I worked in a gun shop. Very nice little pistols. I hope you enjoy it. :yesway:

JustAGunGirl - Welcome to the boards! You did very well on your M21, especially an older gun with the nice bluing and wood grips. I have 2 M21s in .22 and they have been great little plinkers and pocket guns. Surprising accuracy from the short barrel and thin sights!
