So, I'm watching the series finale of Eureka, and I'm having some trouble with the premise.
So, the DOD cuts funding to Global Dynamics, and shuts down Eureka. Sure, they could cut funding, but Global Dynamics is a corporation. GD would be constrained by any non-disclosure agreements, but it's been established that they receive "grants" from the DOD. Wouldn't any equiptment they purchased with grants would be property of GD corp? I imagine they could do very well in the private sector.
Even if GD was done for, Eureka is a municipality, complete with local law enforcement and elected officials. They could force them to turn over any DOD property, but how could the DOD just "shut down" a town?
I know, I'm overthinking it.
